Summary of the event:
Fight # 1 Muaythai - Thabisile " Mamcane" Dlamini vs. Lisa Burnell. Lisa in her first fight came out very strong, taking control of the fight and ending it in the second round with a T.K.O.


Fight # 2 Muaythai - Scelo Mavundla vs. Guy Lazarus. Guy
came in very strong and had already ended the fight by the second
round via T.K.O.



Fight # 3 Muaythai - Cee Khuboni vs. Zaphon Geldenhuys.
Both fighters were strong, but Zaphon's superior technique and
cleaner hits allowed him to win every round and take the fight on
points.


Fight # 4 MMA - Sihle Khuboni vs. Solxolani Mchunu.
Solxolani ended the fight in a stunning 10 seconds with a well
timed shot to his opponents jaw.

Fight # 5 Muaythai - Bonga "1Pound" vs. Kevin Pheko. Both
fighters were very strong and had good technique. Kevin won the
first two rounds, but Bonga returned taking the next two rounds.
Kevin came back in the fifth round, winning the final round and his
first professional fight.



Fight # 6 Muaythai - Fundiswa Mzobe from Nigeria vs. Madeleine "MadX" Ross from South Africa. Madeleine outclassed her opponent winning the fight in the first round with a T.K.O and securing her spot in the World Martial Arts Games.




Fight # 7 Muaythai - Thule Mthembu from Nigeria vs. Bakhulule "Sweet Poison" Baai from South Africa. After an impressive Wai Kru in which Bakhulule made his intentions clear with a arrow directed at Thule, he proceeded to dominate the fight Knocking Thule out before a minute had passed. Thule was revived with oxygen and taken away on a stretcher. Bakhulule will be proceeding on to fight in the World Martial Arts Games after securing his position with his decisive K.O.








The fight night was held at the GrandWest Market Hall with over 700 spectators. The exceptional catering and venue made available by GrandWest really made for a great environment for the event. The fights were all very high paced, only two of the fights went all the rounds. Some noticeable highlights was a 10 second K.O. in the MMA fight with a well timed punch and a electrifying show by Bakhulule Baa to secure his spot in the WMA Games.
The Female Lightweight African Qualification also ending in a 2nd round T.K.O with Madeleine "MadX" Ross coming out victorious anf qualifying into the World Martial Arts Games as both Dragon Power - Muaythai & MMA Fitness Centre, South Africa's Representative as well as Africa's representative.

The Male Light Middleweight African Qualifications was the final and most impressive fight of the night. After the national anthems were played and had set the scene for what looked like an exciting match up, Bakhulule Baai representing both Dragon Power - Muaythai & MMA fitness Centre and South Africa made his intentions clear with an arrow directed at his opponent during the Wai Kru. The fight didn't reach a minute long by the time Bakhulule had finished his opponent with a combination of punches which had knocked his opponent out a few times before he was allowed to hit the ground.
