The Chinese Community Centre was the setting for the " Handing out
of SA Protea Colours, Fundraising Dinner & Ultimate Muaythai
Fight Night" in conjunction with Dragon Power Promotions, brought
you 4 of the best Ultimate Muaythai Fights, handing out of SA
Protea Colours and a six Course Chinese Buffet, auctions, charity
betting & raffles that helped raise funds for the SA Muaythai
Team.
The night hit off with Wesley van Der Bank from Green Point facing
his opponent Travis Motodes from Richwood a close two rounds going
back and forth show casing good Muaythai Technique were Wesley
proved to be the stronger and fitter fighter of the two winning the
bout by point.
A one sided affair between Towfiq Hendricks from Harfield &
Marcel Gaines from Rondebosch East….Marcel's experience showing yet
Towfiq showed a lot of heart and promise and potential for the
future. The fight ended in a TKO in Marcel's favor in the 3rd and
final round.
By the third fight of the evening things had really heated up, and
the New Blood Cruiserweight Erik from Roednwoldt came out very
strong and in control for the first two rounds, moving aside well
although Juan-Dre Blaine from Table view catching him in the corner
and knocking him out and claming his victory.
The night came to that time….both fighters Sihle Khubone from
Durban-Panther Pride camp and Justin Sham from Cape Town-Dragon
Power Gym came out strong imposing their will upon each other.
Justin who proved to have the better Muaythai Technique controlling
the grapple and continuing to score more points, thus winning the
bought by points.
A short break was kept interesting by the Amy Biehl Foundation
performing a drum circle with a traditional South African
dance.
The Protea colours was handed out by no other than SA'S Top
International celebrity Colin Moss and Sibak Kru Winston
Chong.
The Night was filled with auctions, betting's and raffles that
helped raise funds for the SA Muaythai Team and making their dreams
come true.
