
The venue was the CTICC for the Good Hope FM 46th Birthday Lifestyle Experience. The day started off at 12:00pm with the opening of the CTICC halls and an influx of visitors. The Dragon Power Muaythai, MMA & Fitness Centre was busy from start to go with various activities running for all ages to enjoy.



At 1pm it was the Dragon Power Demo Team's turn to wow the crowd. With Aidan bennatts MC'ing the demo, Guy "Kwazi" Lazarus began the Wai Kru. Then the team moved onto pad work with Kru Lester "Mamba" Lombard holding for Sarika Engela & Guy holding for Kevin "Hurricane" Pheko. It was then Aidan & Kru Lester's turn to perform the always entertaining Muay Boran demonstration with all of their high flying acrobatics. It was then Sifu Kru Quentin "Dragon" Chong's turn to hold pads for little Josh Rothwell who is only 7 years old. Luca Castiglione & Kevin harwood then took to the stage to demonstrate what MMA is about and all of its many facets. Sifu then did a self defence demo with Marlon Rosen showing the crowd how to defend against knives and guns. Sibak Kru Winston "Tiger" Chong then showed how with correct technique one can easily break boards and kick through wooden poles. Lastly was Sifu's famous chopstick trick, where he places the chopstick on his throat and Sibak kicks it and it snaps without piercing Sifu Quentin's throat.





Following the demo, we ran pad holding and autograph sessions for the public to get involved while displaying some of our previous promotions events.



Later on in the evening Dragon Power Promotions hosted a UMF fight Night at the event. There were three fights scheduled, all of which keep the audience on the tip of their toes from start to finish.



Fight 1: Middle Weight Muaythai - Zahir Parker (Walmer Estate) defeated Keenan Bouwer (Rondebosch) by unanimous points decision.



Fight 2: Featherweight Muaythai - Guy "Kwazi" Lazarus defeated Thabo Matsau (Claremont) by unanimous points decision.



Fight 3: Catchweight Muaythai - Jarred "Rothweiler" Rothwell (Thornton) defeated Juan-Dre Blaine by unanimous points decision .

We would like to congratulate all the fighters that competed on the night win or lose you are all winners for stepping in the ring. As well as everyone that helped with the setup/breakdown and the running of the stand.
